Elsie Stone joined Matthews Law in July 2017. She works on competition (antitrust), technology and commercial matters. Elsie’s competition work covers merger control, cartels & investigations, and regulation & access. It includes marketing & consumer law (covering consumer protection, fair trading & privacy issues). Elsie also works on a range of telecommunication, media & technology issues (TMT / ICT). Elsie is a key contact for compliance issues and training. She is involved in contentious and non-contentious matters.
Elsie was previously a lawyer for the Takeovers Panel where she advised the Panel on the regulatory issues surrounding a wide range of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate and commercial transactions (including Takeovers Code matters relating to full and partial takeovers, exemptions, independent adviser approvals and schemes of arrangement).
Elsie also has experience as a digital marketing coordinator, including for Hunt for the Wilderpeople, one of New Zealand’s most successful movies.
